Thank flick I've been keeping another blog via my own site! (http://www.iamlanders.com)

I'm not leaving but I'm cancelling my subscription and going back to being a free member. I'll still run the bloscars but will have to think of new ways to tag certain awards.

I don't see how it improves anything!

And what the flick does any of this means:

- Die Mindestanzahl von Zeichen für ein Tag wurde nicht eingehalten. Ein Tag muss mindestens aus 2 zusammenhängenden Buchstaben oder Zahlen bestehen (a-z, A-Z, 0-9).
- Das Tag enthält zu viele Wörter. Ein Tag darf nur aus maximal 5 Wörtern bestehen. Bitte trenne Deine Tags mit Kommas und nicht mit Leerzeichen.
- Tags dürfen nicht länger als 50 Zeichen sein.

I'm using a UK blog server and it should be assumed that my main language is English so send my complete message in English!

BCUK you flicked up big time on this one!

I've put up with pathetic stupid flicking messages from that dumb flick who lies about messages sent to her and I've ignore all her stupid attempts to get me off blog but all this by "The Team" has bought me closer to leaving blog that she ever did. She made me more determined to stay, even when she sent me threatening messages telling me how her friends know what I look like and are going to beat me up then she's going to cut me it didn't make me leave but this makes me want to delete straight away. You flickers!

What makes it worse, what makes it seem more rude than just a flicking improvement is that I can't even reply to your message to tell you I think those of you that made this decision are flickers!

in order to use your tags to improve the searchability of your blog posts, it has been necessary to make a few changes to the tag system.

Thas has annoyed a lot of people by the sounds of things and I can see why!! We should be allowed to tag and mark our posts as we want!!

I can't see how this is supposed to be an improvement. Its a real shame as most people seemed to have respect for the blog people until now

I'm gutted about losing my tags, too. Particularly "expedition in search of the great quench".

It doesn't improve anything in the slightest - they're just tidying up.

Agreed - some warning would have been great, and links to the affected posts would have been better so that tags could be edited. Some people have been here a long time and have THOUSANDS of posts to trawl through to add new tags to replace those that have been removed.

I honestly don't see how "searchability" has been improved - they use google for searches, and that is more than capable of finding individual words within pages. I assume they mean that with shorter tags, there is more chance that several people might use the same tag and so clicking on it will bring up more blogs, but why should we care about that?

Shame on BCUK.

And Buzz is gone as well as the Top 20 featured blogs - so many good services. And not to mention the spam that has appeared of late. Rampage, God bless him, apologised for not seeing to the Spam elsewhere by saying that 'he has been away' - but honestly, when you're paying it's not what you expect, for the site to go downhill every time one of them goes on holiday.

I'm going to cancel my pro too. Seems a waste of money paying for something that juts gets worse and worse. But I'll see what their response it to the copmplaints they have got first and see if they go back to normal.

    To be honest,BCUK is already working fine and does not need improvement.It is a very simple to use platform and easier to use than other Blog sites,or so i think.
    Why fix something which is already working fine.But since they have taken the step,lets see how it goes.

      No that is what you see because we are hardworking on technical improvement, it needs A LOT of them, because everyday more users are joining and we need to make sure that everything keeps on good speed, you should remember 2006/2007 we often had problems with our speed, we had to rewrite the whole blog and design system for that (a LOT of people complained back then why we changed all that).
      
      We are near to that point where that could happen again so we had to jump on some brakes, of course again, people will complain, it is so incredibly hard to explain in a non technical way why some things are necessary.
      
      Furthermore, we only have "one" Software and "one" system that runs it, but we are not running only bcuk on that, but in fact a lot of other countries which have special demands (chinese symbols for instance) ... we had to make sure you can use those in tags (which wasnt possible before)

        Why did you remove it in the first place? And why are you getting on your high horse by saying 'well, of course it still exists, just use this 'obvious' link. Like we're all supposed to be clairvoyant all of a sudden? Why can't you just put it back where it was?

I agree that the translation meant shit!! I don't speak german!!

And the tags should never have been deleted..'Our' blogs..Not theirs! And even if they do reverse it..Damage is done..Tags are'nt going to re-appear back on our post's are they! So many people are angry at this 'improvement'..Me included xx

Seems everyone is rightly pissed off here, I've been lucky, as most of my tags are one word jobbies, occasionally two! I actually only lost two tags.

Most of mine are individual words that make sense when you read the whole blog.

Poor guys, they try to improve things and get shit, they dont improve things and things go wrong, they get shit. I agree they could have warned us first, and it does seem like a waste of time change, but lets be fair about it and give them a chance, they normally come through for us.
