The 'net connection I was using appears to have gone so I've gone from a drive about and am now sat outside someone's house!
So here is the entry for today!
Well I never got chance to say good-bye yesterday because some bastard traffic warden asked me to move on. I was parked in a parking bay but didn't have a ticket as I was still sat in the car. We'll see how today goes.
So at the moment I'm sat in our beautiful kitchen, watching a Kath & Kim DVD, waiting for Brad to come home for lunch. I've done a lot of DVD watching recently. Actually I say I watch them but I probably only see about 50% of each one as I put the DVD on and then go off and do something. It usually a DVD or a music. Brad has hooked the portable hard-drive up to his old 'puter and hooked the 'puter up to the stereo so I can have camp classics blasting out around the house. The lounge and village hall have speakers hooked up in each corner of the room but I haven't plugged anything into them yet.
You've probably gathered that my entries at the moment are going to be few and far between. One big entry once a day which will usually be written sometime that morning. As with this entry. As such each entry will more than likely be an amalgamation of events, to-do's and rants from the previous twenty-four hours. My RSS feed reader has all the blog feeds in it them so I can download those while uploading this and read all the entries at home that afternoon. At this rate I could be up for laziest blogger!
The new series of Grand Designs started last night. Building my own home is something I've always wanted to do and I think I will eventually. I've done all my research for the major things and have four or five different plans in my head and about a 100 screwed up balls of paper with crappy pictures of house designs on them. Last night the guy was building in Oxford. It was a nice place and even though he had some strange ideas it did seem to work out and he ended up with a spectacular place that was four months behind schedule and £150k over budget! I don't really understand what he meant by "Decahedrons are the only shape that would work here." Any shape would have worked! Oh well. Maybe these kind of phrases and ideas are things I'll realise when I build our dream home! Ha!
We also watched the Gordon Ramsey programme last night. We have n money to go out at the moment so every night is spent in watching telly or playing on the pl'station or 'box. The Ramsey programme was good but some of the creative editing pissed me off. If you can't film what you need to film with one camera then use two! And yes, I do speak from experience! There is no need to employ two camera men, one will do, just make the second camera a static camera! White balance the fucker, press record and ta-da the jobs a good 'un! Fair enough you miss things with one camera but if you only have one camera try and remember continuity and editing! Gordon leaves the restaurant pulling up the collar on his cheap trampy jacket, the shot moves to outside and hey presto Gordon comes out the door... but... where's his coat? It has magically disappeared! Wankers! I hate crap continuity. There is no excuse for it!
I see from the news Peter Hain has resigned. It's strange seeing UK news and knowing that it doesn't really affect me anymore. Of course the Irish political systems isn't much better with Bertie Aherne currently being pulled through the ringer because of his dodgy tax dealings. We have British telly on our sky box as the viewing card is still registered to our address in Wales so we don't actually see much of the Irish news unless we read it in the paper or hear it on the radio and even then it's a little off-putting to listen the news and know that any minute now you're going to hear the death notices!
Right, as I've become a Stepford Wife I think it's time to prepare Brad's dinner. Biscuits are my big speciality at the moment and I'm still trying to refine my shortbread!
So come on... who's coming for a visit?

Ireland is still the place to be if you want to build your own home - it's far more common there than it is over here and you can still make some money by doing so.
You fit so much into your life! I am mightily impressed. Some days it's as much as I can do to get dressed in the mornings, while cooking dinner is marked as a significant achievement in the day.
