  • Robots in Disguise

Well Brad and I have just got back from seeing Transformers.

I was suitable impressed but I do have a few issues with it.

    No.1. The Glasses.
When Sam had them they were normal size, as glasses should be. When Optimus picked them they were bigger. Not hugely but big enough that it made an obvious difference.

    No.2. The Motorbike Slide
Come off a motorbike at high speed and you'll lose skin. Having worked in the medical field I know and have seen the damage done. At 30mph you'll be down to the bone in 3 seconds. So, how can Joshua Duhamel slide his motorbike into the ground and then just glide along gracefully on his back shooting is gun. Artistic license will only go so far Mr. Bay.

    No.3. Continuity
This is something that quite often pisses me off in films. When you make a blockbuster it doesn't take a lot to employ a continuity editor. Doughnuts & Landlines to name but two!

There was something else that bugged but I can't think what it was now.

Picked up a Chinese on the way. Brad wasn't too impressed but I thought he was okay.

Right. Off to kick some ass in Age of Mythology.

  • Self Promotion - I hate it!!

  • *gulp*

Today we have our final meeting with our social worker.
On Saturday our last ever foster child* arrives, just for the weekend.

    This is it!

    It's really happening!

    We are really moving.

Never thought it would actually come off!

    30 days to go!

If any of you lot are about please feel fee to come out for TTFN drinkies in Neath on September 7th.

*Until we begin fostering again in Ireland in a few years

  • We've just had an earthquake!

The building shook, pictures rattled, alarms are still going off.

There is pandemonium on the Hight Street. The opticians window has shattered and a water main has burst!

Okay so I'm talking bollocks. Or rather I'm trying to fool you.

    Why?

    Because it's Awa Odri.

    Well it is in Japan.

    According to Mr. lledeb. anyway.

Awa Odri, celebrated on August 15th, is Japan's version of our very own April Fool.

For this and many more dates why not go here (clicky clicky).

Oh and why not promote that entry by stealing both buttons on the right and putting them on your blog. Obviously I'm doing this for the greater good and not to make myself more popular!
